You use the Wide Warehouse Scheduler in exactly the same way that you use the Warehouse Scheduler. For picking slips, transfer dockets, goods received batches, stocktake batches and import costing batches, it is simply a wider view of the Warehouse Scheduler, designed for wide screens and allowing you to see more detail on the screen.
If your company has the optional Micronet Mobile Applications module with the Warehouse functions enabled, you can also use the Wide Warehouse Scheduler to manage and inquire on the status and progress of paperless processes conducted in a warehouse using PDAs. This includes assigning picking slips and batches to PDAs and pickers, and changing the priority of picking slips and batches. (For more information on Micronet Mobile Applications, refer to "Warehouse Solution" and "7. Mobile Applications").
The Wide Warehouse Scheduler also offers some additional features that aren't included in the Warehouse Scheduler.
If your company has the optional Micronet 2.8 Mobile Applications module with the Field Service functions enabled, you can also use the Warehouse Scheduler to manage and inquire on the status and progress of field service orders created in MDS. This includes assigning orders to field service employees, and changing the status of field service orders. (For more information on Micronet 2.8 Mobile Applications, refer to "Introduction to Micronet Mobile Applications" and "FIELD SERVICE Menu").
There is a separate tab in the Wide Warehouse Scheduler for each transaction type.
